Excerpts from Dr. Schoenberg's Conclusions:

The rules relating to the holding of UN conferences and preparatory meetings for such conferences must be amended so that no host country should be permitted to bar or deny protection to a UN Member State in violation of the UN Charter or the representatives of any NGO affiliated with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) or the Department of Public Information (DPI).

In the last analysis, however, it will be up to the Member States to understand that no matter how strongly they feel against one group or national movement, that one defamation will lead to another, that a libel will lead to counter charges, and that the goal of peaceful resolution of disputes, whether in Northern Ireland, the Indian Subcontinent, or the Middle East, can only be advanced by reducing the name-calling, modifying the harsh rhetoric that is too often the result of some UN meetings, and attempting to harmonize the policies of nations in accordance with the UN Charter.
