Full Text | Excerpts from Dr. Schoenberg's Conclusions: In the last analysis, however, it will be up to the Member States to understand that no matter how strongly they feel against one group or national movement, that one defamation will lead to another, that a libel will lead to counter charges, and that the goal of peaceful resolution of disputes, whether in Northern Ireland, the Indian Subcontinent, or the Middle East, can only be advanced by reducing the name-calling, modifying the harsh rhetoric that is too often the result of some UN meetings, and attempting to harmonize the policies of nations in accordance with the UN Charter. |
