This week, Member States are engaged in informal consultations on the recommendations contained in the Report of the High-level Panel on System-wide Coherence on development, humanitarian assistance and the environment. Discussions are based on cluster-areas. On Wednesday, 20 June 2007, the cluster on Humanitarian issues and recovery was discussed. Today, 21 June 2007, Member States took up the clusters on Gender and Delivering as one at country level. Delegates were briefed on the status of the One UN Pilots in Tanzania, Albania and Rwanda. Tomorrow, Member States will discuss the question of Governance and Institutional Reform.
The Center for UN Reform will provide an update on the major trends emerged during the discussions next week.
