About the event:
As an ECOSOC functional commission, the Commission on Population and Development plays the primary role in monitoring, reviewing and assessing the implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development at the national, regional and global levels, identifying reasons for success and failure, and advising the Council thereon.

The 51st session of the Commission on Population and Development [2] will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 9 to 13 April 2018. The special theme of the session is “Sustainable cities, human mobility and international migration.”

ECOSOC accredited NGOs are welcome to register for this event from 1 November 2017 to 16 March 2018. For more information on pre-registration please click here [3].
