The Four Nations Initiative on Governance and Management of the United Nations [1]
The Four Nations Initiative [2] is a joint effort launched by Sweden, Chile, Thailand, South Africa in 2005 to address the governance and management systems of the United Nations.
The final report, Towards a Compact: Proposals for Improved Governance and Management at the UN Secretariat [3] was released on Thursday 13 September 2007 in New York. It contains 32 specific proposals on improved governance and management of the UN Secretariat, as seen from a Member States perspective, and is offered as a contribution to the ongoing processes in the UN, with the objective of providing new ideas and a point of departure for further discussions.
